Laos - Luang Prabang

Our last stop before Vietnam, Luang Prabang as a city is very develops and the party scene is quite inexistant. We decide to go to the night market, the things they sell are perfect for a last day of bringing presents back but we are more hungry and we found a small street where they BBQ every king of meat and fish, we bought a 20 000 fish which was amazingly good, some avocado / papaya salad for 15 000 and the dinner for 3.5 euros is just perfect.
Their the best to do is trying Utopia bar for some hours, it’s full of group travelling together and their is nothing special. We found there 8 other girls that we have been meeting with before in 4000 islands, everyone follow the same path that seems normal. At midnight everyone is driving for 10 000 Tuk Tuk to the bowling. And this is the cool part. For 20 000 each you are playing one round of bowling without shoes while drinking beers. We are 8 girls I am making some nez rules to play the bowling after all we are drunk why playing bowling the normal way : ! Legs, no eyes, up side down … It gets really funny.
After bowling you can shoot some arrow. We got home for 20 000 and we forgot where was our hotel. The only thing we had from it was the key and no address on it obviously. We turn for at least an hour laughing about ourselves not being able to remember where we live, all the street look the same. We finally found the hostel and read the name Sokmisan 1 guest house (negotiate room : 80 000 for a night).
On the second day, we woke up hungry and decided to look for food, next to our place we noticed that lots of Laos woman are regrouping around some soup and tea, we decided to join them to get a 15 000 street soup and a tea made of some weird dry fruit that are supposed to make our blood run faster. I don’t know what was in this tea but we then had to sleep for 2 hours. On the afternoon, we took a mini van to go to the main waterfall 1 hour drive from Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall - The ride cost up 35 000 (3,5 eur) and the entry 20 000 (2 eur). This area is very touristic but you should definitely go there if you pass by Luang Prabang to me it’s the most wonderful waterfall I ever seen.
We got 3 hours there and decided to clim up the mountains where the scenery of beauty continue to the top of the main waterfall.
At night we were so hungry we decided to have a full experience of the Corean BBQ : 60 000 each for an unlimited corona BBQ buffet.
On the 3rd day, we are quite relax, we wake up in the morning with the envy to do something cool, we walk the morning market just next to our place, ate some BBQ bacon and again the nice mama soup. After talking around about the fact that we wanted to relax in a park a lady give us the tips to go to the Nahm Dong Park. 3 dollars (you have to go up to the round about at the right side of the night market) for the ride and 20 000 to enter the park.
Unfortunately the waterfall there was empty this day but the park itself is so amazing that we did not care, we clim the empty waterfall, walk around the plantation, crossed many bridges, this place is really nice .We even have the pleasure to meet the GM Sam a French guy.
At night, we got back to the night market to get a new fight and some noddle, we did not like so much Utopia so we stop at the Sena for a beer where we also met the GM a French guy and talk to an amazing girl from Thailand. It’s time to go to bed, tomorrow we have our flight to Hanoi.
Laos you are my favorite from now, I will be back.
