Cambodia - Koh Rong island

Koh Rong, one of the most beautiful place in Cambodia.

I spent 3 days there, bellow you will find the perfect program for 3 days on the island including a road trip by scooter from Koh touch Beach to Sok san Beach.

DAY 1 :

Visiting the Koh Rong island was not in my plan, since i met with my friends in Phnom Penh and they invited me to spend the week end with them, I changed my plan and took a boat to the Koh Rong island.

So the ticket system for the island ... a big mess well organised. You can buy ticket in your hostel or hotel but you can't go from one point of the island to an other point of the island, you have to tell your hotel where you want to go next to make sure you got the good ticket. If not you will finish to pay 2 times like I did and 40 $ just for the boats that's really expensive. My initial plan was to go on the north of the Koh Rong samloem and then to the west of Koh Rong but the transfer don't work like this so last minute after having changed my ticket already 3 times, I just decided to go to the main Koh Rong island, after 40 minutes boat I arrive in Koh Rong on the Koh Touch beach and check in in Smile for 10 $ a night.

I spend the day chilling and looking on what to do next.

For the sunset i walk the Long Set Beach until the broken bridge.

The sunset here is just magic.

At night i was not willing to eat western food as they call it so i look for a hiding place to eat and found this amazing restaurant Sigi n' Thai Food.

Time to take a boat to join my friend in Sok San Beach. My ticket boat was again not the good one, long story short i had to buy a new one for 20 other $. Finally, here they are :

The first day we just chill at the beach in front of their amazing resort "Sok San Resort" and found a cheap place for me, 15$ a night in front of the beach, what else.

For dinner, we celebrate Kamra B day at the best Italian restaurant with home made pizza paste and gnocchi, if you ever read this post and go there please try this place, it will make you so happy. After dinner, the owners invited us for some more beers. Stomach full let's get happy to bed.

DAY 2 :

We decided to take a boat trip in other to do some fishing snorkeling, a full day for 8$. When the boat got off the shore the show started, the island full of trees and the landscape mix with this jungle and blue see are just splendid. We are getting for 15 minutes riding and reach the north of the island to snorkel.

There some Cambodian girls seems to don't know how to swim so I decided to become a teacher. They are so cute thanking me a million time and starting discussion. Meeting the locals is the best. Back on the boat we start the fishing session ... in 2 hours every single people on the boat got fish, except me.

The sunset to come back to the shore, some shinning color in the water, we are looking desperately in the water to find some plankton but nothing happened. Constance try to jump in the dark water to shake them, we are seeing a few but the full moon makes it not dark enough. Let's spend the last night at the Italian restaurant eating amazing gnocchi truffle.

DAY 3 :

The plan was to rent a motorcycle, 1 for 3 obviously.

The plan : we get to find the tattoo shop because Kamra was motivated to do a new tattoo for his B day. The day was intense, really intense, the scooter that we rent for 12 $ got completely smash :). The 2 videos that Kamra did sum up perfectly the day :
